Glendale Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and if you're visiting from Logan, you won't be the only one. Preston Golf & Country Club is a wonderful golf course nearby; almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Johnson Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Glendale Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in

| | the 10's overnight here at Glendale Reservoir. At Glendale Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear River, and why not camp at Cub River Canyon Guest Ranch if you're here at Glendale Reservoir. who like lakes. Lamont Reservoir is a lake close by, and a great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LOGAN. Glendale Reservoir is right by the High Line Trail, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Logan is
a great site to spend a night or two. Man, is there a load of enjoyable stuff to do right next door to Glendale Reservoir. High Creek Campground is a delightful local campground, and hiking along the Bloomington Lake Trail is delightful fun.

Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 14 miles away ...ngton Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge. Your can travel north or south with the south direction being the most spectacular The Highline Trail is popular with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, ATV's and motorcycles. Bear River
 | 17 miles away We floated the Wayland Hot Springs to the Weston Bridge. You cannot put in downriver from the Highway 91 bridge anymore. However you can cross the highway and park and put in at the Riverside RV and trailer park. They have a boat ramp and a great place to camp. About a half mile above Squaw Hotsprings, a fence has been hung across the river, watch out that you don't snag your head, duck! After that there really is no obstructions until you get to the diverson about 2 miles above the Weston Bridge. Run this right down the middle. This is a great family float and a nice flat part of the river for beginners.... |
