Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Airplane Lake close to Glacier Lake, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Waterfall Trail. Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. The top of Bighorn Crags is easily spotted from Glacier Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Ship Island Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs       in the 80's to Glacier Lake; the night is rather colder of course, mostly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Glacier Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Not much precipitation falls here at Glacier Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Get dripping wet paddling on Panther Creek, and you can stay the night at Crags Campground. The pretty Bighorn Crags is                  here at Glacier Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Glacier Lake has to offer, you can camp at Yellowjacket Campground. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Glacier Lake. The Clear Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Glacier Lake, and soar down the rapids of Camas Creek in a kayak. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains.
