If you like lakes and you're in this part of Idaho you can check out Gem Lake. Yeah, come here to Gem Lake for a great time. Gem Lake is right by the Old Boise Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Little Salmon River offers some fine whitewater. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Snake River; lakes are such calm spots, why not stop by Rock Island Lake. This lake is so wonderful. of the Seven Devils Mountains, and camping is available at Windy Saddle Campground. Take a hike on the Deep Creek Trail, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a great choice. For the duration of the
summertime months here at Gem Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's, and the night is a little colder of course, usually in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Gem Lake.
