This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. And that's not everything you can do here in the Bitterroot Range. Nearby lakes? Sure, Two Lakes is in the vicinity of Garnet Lake, and don't leave Garnet Lake without first going for a hike along the Lee Ridge Trail. At Garnet Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's with overnight       lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Garnet Lake fall into the 10's. Stay the night at Blodgett Canyon Campground, and paddling on Big Sand Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. You get a good panorama of Sky Pilot from Garnet Lake, and there are good places to look at along the Saint Mary Peak Trail. Just can't get enough of the Bitterroot Range. There's so                  much to do here at Garnet Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Schumaker Campground is a great spot for that, and if you're here why not stop by Bear Creek Pass. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Hamilton is a fine choice, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on White Sand Creek. The yearly rain here at Garnet Lake is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is mostly the driest month. But wait, there's more to do near Garnet Lake.
