A picturesque lake like Casino Lakes near Garland Lakes is a good site to pop by, and getting to Rough Creek from Garland Lakes is painless. High temperatures at Garland Lakes during the days of summer are in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows at Garland Lakes through the winter usually sink into the-10's. Around Garland Lakes       you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most snow; the driest month of the year is July. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff next to Garland Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Basin Creek Campground since you're here at Garland Lakes, and you can go for a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail.
