If you need a spot to stay Best Western Edgewater Resort is a nice choice, and there are other sites here than Gamlin Lake, for example Eaton Lake. The yearly rain here at Gamlin Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly November, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the months of summer       highs here at Gamlin Lake get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Gamlin Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Gamlin Lake you find Anderson Point, and whitewater paddling is good on Pack River. There's great hiking along the Green Mountain Trail, and a glorious close by hotel is Inn At Sand Creek. So much entertaining                  stuff to do here at Gamlin Lake, too glorious to be true. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gamlin Lake; Shertz Trail is a good local trail, and get soaked paddling on Pack River. There's so much to do here at Gamlin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Idaho Country Resort is a magnificent site for that, and the skiing at Schweitzer is nice.
