Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Bitterroot Range. Heinrich Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; the peak of Frog Peak can be observed from Frog Lake. Super 8 Motel - Hamilton is a great place to get some rest, and Bear Creek Pass Campground is a pleasant local campground. High temperatures at Frog Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is       down it sinks down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Frog Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A glorious location for whitewater paddling next to Frog Lake is Big Sand Creek, and Frog Lake is right by the Ward Mountain Trail. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. A quick visit to Frog Creek in close proximity to Frog Lake is a glorious idea, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lee Ridge Trail. You can run the rapids of White Sand Creek in close proximity to Frog Lake, and hiking along the Sally Ridge Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful.
