This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Forage Lake, you'll find Bacon Lake which is a lovely lake, and get drenched paddling on Clearwater River - North Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. The annual precipitation here at Forage Lake is about average; during the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount       of precipitation. All through the warmest time of the year at Forage Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Forage Lake through the winter usually dip into the 10's. Forage Lake is a nice site to camp, Hidden Creek Campground is a nice site, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on St. Joe River. Bacon Peak is a peak you can distinguish                  from Forage Lake, and do check out Bean Creek while you're here at Forage Lake. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Forage Lake is so good! There is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Forage Lake called the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range, too nice to be true.
