Fish Lake is a good spot of normal precipitation; most of the snow falls through January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Big Chief Creek Trail; if you're here, you could also take a look at gorgeous Crater Lake. So much exciting stuff in the Salmon River Mountains, just amazing. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Johnson Creek, and do explore Middle Lake, it's a wonderful
   lake.
There's so much to do here at Fish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Yellow Pine Campground is a tremendous location for that, and the snow is great at Brundage Mountain. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Salmon River Mountains. A good nearby hotel is Super 8 McCall, and Ellison Creek is close to Fish Lake and is always a pleasure to stop by. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Fish Lake, so little time. Profile Gap is a glorious location to stop at close by; the peak of Crater Peak can be seen from Fish Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fish Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Golden Gate Campground is a fine local campground, and going for a hike along the Indian Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Parks Peak Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork offers some pleasant whitewater. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

...ndage has been a favorite of Idahoans for over 46 years.
Corduroy lovers rave about the resort's wide, expertly groomed runs, while their powder-hungry pals can easily hop off-trail into endless glades stuffed with feather-light fluff.
A mid-week visit to Brundage Mountain is all it takes to understand the resort's long-time claim that it is 'Uncrowded, Unspoiled, and Unbelievable'. Frequent visitors know it's easier to find a fresh line than a lift line at Brundage on a weekday. With an average of 325 inches of annual snowfall, the powder days are plentiful. Clear skies reveal sweeping views of Payette Lake & McCall off one crest, and endless mountain scenery reaching all the way to Oregon's Blue Mountains off the opposite side. The only challenge is deciding how long to savor the natural beauty before plunging back in for more terrific turns. Fortunately, with 1,800 vertical feet and more than 1,500 acres of in-bound terrain, there's plenty of time to enjoy both the snow and the spectacular scenery.
Weekends and holidays are lively at Brundage Mountain. Visitors frequently...
