    A visit to Fire Lake is always a good idea. And that's not all you can do here in the Clearwater Mountains. A brilliant spot to camp here at Fire Lake is Twentymile Bar Campground; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Selway River. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains. Lochsa River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the East  
   Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Fire Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Slide Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Elk Creek Trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Fire Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that snows the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Fire Lake tend to be in the 10's.
