Fernan Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There are good spots to look at along the English Point National Recreation Trail, and at Fernan Lake you always meet someone from Coeur d'Alene. At Fernan Lake you can make out Fernan Hill, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Coeur D'alene. The amount of rainfall that falls at Fernan Lake is close to the national average; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow,

Fernan Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Coeur D' Alene KOA is a good local campground, and swing by Fernan Creek it's a delightful place to stop by. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in the Bitterroot Range. A perfect location in the neighborhood of Fernan Lake is Stacel Draw; while you're here you ought to stop at Bennett Bay. Coeur D' Alene KOA
 | This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
