Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Camas Creek; perfect hiking is available along the Waterfall Trail. The South Fork Trail offers hiking at its best; get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Panther Creek. Throughout the summertime at Fawn Lake highs are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures       at Fawn Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. If you get bored of Fawn Lake, you could also stop at close by Twin Cove Lake, and why not camp at Crags Campground since you're here at Fawn Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Fawn Lake; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. And that's not everything there is to do here in the                  Salmon River Mountains. Having a pleasant time at Fawn Lake is uncomplicated. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fawn Lake; Ship Island Trail is a perfect local trail, and a magnificent place to camp here at Fawn Lake is Yellowjacket Campground. So many amusing things in the Salmon River Mountains, just astonishing.
