Farley Lake is pretty dried out ordinarily; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month of the year is July. A great place for whitewater paddling close to Farley Lake is Salmon River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always       take a look at nearby Edith Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do right next door to Farley Lake. Soldier Mountain Ski Resort has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. Throughout the warm months highs here at Farley Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Farley Lake through the winter ordinarily drop into the-10's. This lake is                  so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at Farley Lake is Alturas Inlet Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bull Moose Trail. You absolutely should like the Sawtooth Range. El Capitan can be seen from Farley Lake, and do take a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail.
