Farley Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawtooth Range. El Capitan is clearly visible from Farley Lake, and Salmon River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. It is very dried up here at Farley Lake usually; through December this area sees the most snow; July is when it's the driest. For the duration of the days of summer at Farley Lake highs are regularly in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly       cooler of course, generally in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Farley Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Why not camp at Smoky Bear Campground while you're here at Farley Lake, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Yellow Belly Trail. So much exciting stuff close to Farley Lake, completely inspiring. Really great skiing awaits you at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort. But wait, there's                  more amusing stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. If you get bored of Farley Lake, you could also stop at nearby Edith Lake; a great site to camp here at Farley Lake is Alturas Inlet Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
