Lake Estelle is one of the lakes here in the Cabinet Mountains. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Lake Estelle is so good! Hiking along the East Fork Boulder Creek Trail is good fun, and a scenic lake like Moose Lake is a good spot to explore. Around Lake Estelle you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July.       This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a splendid site to get some rest; paddling on Kootenai is so much fun. And that's not all the things to do here in the Cabinet Mountains. From Lake Estelle you obtain a perfect view of Moose Mountain, and why not a little side visit to Summit Creek. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Estelle. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the                  40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Estelle drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Estelle is right by the North Fork Trail, and float down the rapids of Yaak River in a kayak. Just can't get enough of the Cabinet Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Estelle has to offer, you can camp at East Fork Public Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Sandpoint. Going for a hike along the Timber Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
