And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Cabinet Mountains. Camping is available at Porcupine Lake Campground, and do take a hike on the North Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Moose Mountain is scenic and can be distinguished from Lake Estelle. Lake Estelle is pretty dry generally; through November this area sees the most rain; July on the other       hand is the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yaak River, and camping at East Fork Public Campground is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Gem Lake if you're here at Lake Estelle; it's close by; hiking along the East Fork Boulder Creek Trail is great fun. At Lake Estelle during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with                  highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Estelle are in the 20's. This spot rules, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do near Lake Estelle. Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a great site to get some rest, and soar down the rapids of Kootenai in a kayak. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Sandpoint is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Timber Mountain Trail. Just can't get enough of the Cabinet Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Moose Lake is in the vicinity of Lake Estelle, and Summit Creek is in close proximity to Lake Estelle and is always a delight to visit.
