Having a great time in the Cabinet Mountains is uncomplicated. You could also go to Gem Lake if you're here at Lake Estelle; it's nearby, and the summit of Moose Mountain can be made out from Lake Estelle. This lake is so wonderful. Not much rain falls here at Lake Estelle; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. Lake Estelle is one of the lakes       here in the Cabinet Mountains. A fine nearby hotel is Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino, and why not a little side visit to Summit Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Edgewater Resort is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; camping is available at Porcupine Lake Campground. Having a great time at Lake Estelle is uncomplicated. Go for a hike on the East Fork Boulder Creek Trail, and Yaak River is a good whitewater                  spot nearby. All through the long summer days at Lake Estelle highs are mostly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Lake Estelle nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Cabinet Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Timber Mountain Trail; camping at East Fork Public Campground is always a great experience.
