    Do stop by Emerald Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Emerald Lake. Emerald Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Huckleberry Campground is a perfect local campground, and get drenched paddling on Snake River. There's good hiking along the Deep Creek Trail, and Joes Gap is a wonderful spot to explore. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Not much rain falls here
 
   at Emerald Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Rapid River Trail offers hiking at its best, and Horse Pasture Basin is a delightful spot here at Emerald Lake. Summertime highs at Emerald Lake usually tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures  
               at Emerald Lake descend into the 20's.
These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Emerald Lake is right by the Old Boise Trail, and glide down the rapids of Little Salmon River in a kayak. You simply should like the Wallowa Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. If you came to camp Black Lake Campground is a perfect place to do that, and the summit of Black Imp can be distinguished from Emerald Lake.
