In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Elsie Lake is one of them. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Bitterroot Range, too glorious to be true. A great location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Elsie Lake is St. Joe River - Marble Creek, and Striped Peak is clearly visible from Elsie Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Elsie Lake. The Upper Slate Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's no such thing as

| | a bad day of skiing at close by Silver Mountain. The annual rain here at Elsie Lake is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is mostly the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Blue Anchor Trailer Park is a good place to camp; Best Western Wallace Inn is a delightful place to get some rest. Throughout the summer here at Elsie Lake, high temperatures typically get into the | |

80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows at Elsie Lake throughout the winter generally descend into the 20's.
Hit the slopes at Lookout Pass close at hand, and camping at Elsie Lake is good fun, Down By The Depot RV Park is a good local campground.
The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Elsie Lake is right by the West Fork
Slate Divide Trail; after a long day outdoors Stardust Motel is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do in the Bitterroot Range. In the event that you
don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Coeur d'Alene River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Prince Peak Trail.
