The best way to spend       a winter day is on the slopes of close by Lookout Pass, and a fine location to camp here at Elsie Lake is Down By The Depot RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful nearby hotel is Silver Mountain Ski & Summer Resort; Striped Peak is a peak you can observe from Elsie Lake. If you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Kellogg is a magnificent choice, and get wet paddling on St. Joe River - Marble Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down                  the rapids of Coeur d'Alene River in a kayak, and the Prince Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the West Fork Slate Divide Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Silver Mountain close at hand. All through the summertime highs here at Elsie Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Elsie Lake are in the 20's. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range.
