Beautiful Elizabeth Lake has much to offer visitors. From Elizabeth Lake you obtain a good panorama of The Crags, and going for a hike along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Elizabeth Lake has to offer, you can camp at Race Creek Campground, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Lochsa River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. Elizabeth Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Race Track Campground is a pleasant place for that; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail.
Having a glorious time in the Clearwater Mountains is easy. There's whitewater
on Lochsa River for all you adrenaline junkies, and Old Man Meadows is a wonderful site. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail; Jesse Pass is a glorious location to spend
some time. Through the months of summer at Elizabeth Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; night lows through the winter for Elizabeth Lake tend to be in the 20's.
