Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ship Island Trail; Camas Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Not much rain falls here at Echo Lake; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. High temperatures at Echo Lake all through the summertime are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. All through the winter highs are       usually in the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Echo Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Yellowjacket Campground is a nice site for that, and the South Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Echo Lake is right by the Waterfall Trail; Puddin                  Mountain is clearly visible from Echo Lake. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Echo Lake. Echo Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Crags Campground is a wonderful local campground; not far from Echo Lake you'll come across Reflection Lake which is a wonderful lake. So many exciting things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too great to be true.
