If the weather is nice here at Echo Lake, you can go for a hike along the Old Boise Trail; Mount Belial can be seen from Echo Lake. During the summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Echo Lake. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Echo Lake are in the 20's. Not much precipitation falls here at Echo Lake; May is the wettest       month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. If you came for an overnight stay Windy Saddle Campground is a pleasant location to camp; if you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some wonderful whitewater. The Seven Devils Mountains towers over Echo Lake, and do take a look at Quad Lake, it's a pretty lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Wallowa Mountains has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday                  Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id, and the Heavens Gate Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Wallowa Mountains rules! He Devil Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; why not camp at Seven Devils Campground while you're here at Echo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a great site to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Echo Lake. There are some nice whitewater spots on Little Salmon River; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Deep Creek Trail.
