Echo Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. During the days of summer at Echo Lake highs are mostly in the 90's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Echo Lake all through the winter commonly descend into the 20's. Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a pleasant place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Echo Lake has to offer,

| | you can camp at Windy Saddle Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
So much fun stuff in the Wallowa Mountains, just incredible. Near Echo Lake you locate the Heavens Gate Trail which is a nice hiking trail, obviously you could also stop at Appendix Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Little Salmon River is so much fun, and Echo Lake is a magnificent spot to camp, Seven Devils Campground is a magnificent spot.

Just getting warmed up. The Old Boise Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Echo Lake, and here at Echo Lake you can distinguish Mount Belial. Whitewater paddling is great on Snake River, and after a long day outdoors Western
Mountain Lodge is a good location to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wallowa Mountains.
At Echo Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
