Why not stop by Duck Lake if you're passing through these parts. Around Duck Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Box Lake Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. East Fork Corral Creek is a pleasant location to stop by; Hazard Campground

After a long day outdoors Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a nice spot to spend a night or two; if you came for an overnight stay Grouse Campground is a delightful location to camp. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. for Hard Creek Basin if you're here at Duck Lake; not far from Duck Lake you obtain some fine water scenery at Twin Granite Dam. During the summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Duck Lake. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the
50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Duck Lake tend to be in the 20's. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Duck Lake.
Take a hike on the Lava Butte Trail, and one of the major marks of the surroundings of Duck Lake is Slab Butte.
