The Old Boise Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Slide Rock Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Heavens Gate Trail; paddling on Little Salmon River is so much fun. Dog Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Snake River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if the weather is lovely, you obtain a nice sight of       Mount Belial from Dog Lake. All through the summertime, highs generally are in the 90's at Dog Lake, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
