A visit to Dog Lake is always a good idea. Through the months of summer at Dog Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while Dog Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Man, is there loads of enjoyable stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River, and camping is available

| | at Seven Devils Campground. Hiking along the Heavens Gate Trail is pleasant fun, and do go to Mill Creek while you're here at Dog Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. You just should go for the Wallowa Mountains. A nice panorama of striking Mount Belial is available from Dog Lake, and a lake nearby is Slide Rock Lake. shadow over Dog Lake; why not camp at Windy Saddle Campground while you're here at Dog Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Little Salmon River, and a good close by hotel is Whitetail Club and Resort.
Horse Heaven Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and do take a hike on the Old Boise Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Deep Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity,
and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a good choice. Dog Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
