Doe Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. It is very dried out here at Doe Lake ordinarily; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Good hiking is available along the Ship Island Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Panther Creek.

| | into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Doe Lake. A picturesque lake like Alpine Lake near Doe Lake is a splendid place to take a look at, and Doe Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Crags Campground is a great local campground. to do around Doe Lake; South Fork Trail is a perfect local trail; if you came to camp Yellowjacket Campground is a splendid place to do that.
