Do stop by Disappointment Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. Around Disappointment Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. And that's not all you can do here at Disappointment Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hard Creek, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Crestline Trail. This place, the

This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Jacks Creek, and Disappointment Lake is right by the Lava Butte Trail. High temperatures at Disappointment Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The | |

cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Disappointment Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A range like the Grass Mountains here at Disappointment Lake
is always charming.
So much entertaining stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not sufficient time. Grass Mountains is a peak you can spot from Disappointment Lake, and if you need a place to stay Western Mountain Lodge is
a nice choice. Disappointment Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. You're probably hooked on lakes, Coffee Cup Lake is one of those close by; get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Hazard Creek.
Stay the night at Grouse Campground, and hiking along the Broken Leg Trail is splendid fun.
