It's always fun to stop by Dennick Lake. Why not camp at Deep Creek Campground if you're here at Dennick Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Pack River. This place, Dennick Lake, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Take a hike on the Grouse Mountain Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Pack River offers some nice whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Dennick Lake is Blue Lake RV Park; the White Mountain Trail

| | offers hiking at its best. Dennick Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls during November while July is mostly the driest month. Dennick Lake is right by the Upper North Fork Grouse Creek Trail, and a great vista of gorgeous Sand Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. you won't be the only one. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Sand Lake; of course Bloom Creek flows through this region. Throughout the summer months at Dennick Lake highs are commonly in
the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Dennick Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. What would winter be without

Blue Lake RV Park
 | 1 PHOTO ...2009 season, we have a new clubhouse group facility, bathhouse, amphitheater, dock, boat rentals, and 40 RV sites. 14 of them are 50amp fullhookup pull-thrus, 3 huge super sites overlooking the lake, and another 20 partial hookup sites. We also have camping cabins and covered wagons and Wooden pole tents with wooden floors. We also have internet, movie rentals, and sell propane too. This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
Snowcreek Falls, Naples, Idaho. Directions: Go north from Sandpoint on Highway 95 to Naples. Turn left on the old highway 95 and go about 5 miles, passing the Deep Creek Inn. You will cross a railroad crossing, keep following the road until you see a brown Forest Service sign on the righ... |
