Stay the night at Yellowjacket Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Panther Creek. All through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Deer Lake; all through summer nights temperatures       are in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Deer Lake are in the 0's. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Deer Lake, so little time. Lakes? Sure, Golden Trout Lake is around here. Having a great time in the Salmon River Mountains is trouble-free. Good hiking is available along the Crags Trail; a brilliant site for whitewater paddling is Panther Creek. Deer Lake is located in the Salmon River                  Mountains. At Deer Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
