Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Oregon Butte Lake, and from Deer Lake you acquire a tremendous view of Concord Hill. A tremendous place like Tepee Flats here at Deer Lake is too good to miss, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Nellie Mountain Trail. High temperatures at Deer Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of       course, commonly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Deer Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Just can't get enough of Deer Lake. Lakes are nice; Round Lake is a lake that's near Deer Lake; get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Salmon River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - GRANGEVILLE. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The                  Clearwater Mountains is great! If you came for an overnight stay Wildhorse Lake Campground is a nice spot to camp; the Reed Bar Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Deer Lake is a location that is quite dried up typically; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Clearwater River - South Fork, and why not pop by nearby Brandon Creek while you're here at Deer Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Clearwater Mountains has to offer. Going for a hike on the Pilot Knob Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Orogrande Summit Campground is a pleasant campground nearby.
