When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Deadwood Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Deadwood River, and why not camp at Homers Campground while you're here at Deadwood Reservoir. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       Deadwood Reservoir is frequently a quite dried up location; during January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Ashley Inn; Deadwood Basin is right here at Deadwood Reservoir. So much fun stuff to do here at Deadwood Reservoir, too fine to be true. Get dripping wet paddling on Deadwood River; do take a hike on the Whitehawk Basin Trail. Lakes are such serene sites,                  why not visit Long Lake right next door to Deadwood Reservoir, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the West Side Trail. Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. Very wonderful water scenery is available at Deadwood Dam close to Deadwood Reservoir; if you came for an overnight stay Barneys Park Campground is a wonderful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Scott Mountain Driveway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Salmon River Mountains.
