Dead Tree Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. Through the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Dead Tree Reservoir. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Dead Tree Reservoir throughout the winter mostly dip into the 10's. Take a hike on the Grasshopper Trail, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Owyhee River - East Fork. At Dead Tree Reservoir you
don’t see much rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
Dead Tree Reservoir is right by the Forty-Four Trail, and if you get bored of Dead Tree Reservoir you could also pop by close by Rock Point Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deep Creek.
