Why not camp at Twin Rivers Canyon Resort while you're here at Dawson Lake, and Deer Lake Swamp is a swamp next to Dawson Lake. Dawson Lake is pretty dried out frequently; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rutledge Creek Trail; Dawson Lake is not the only site close by, Templeman Lake is a close by lake. Camping is available

For the period of the days of summer highs here at Dawson Lake get into the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Dawson Lake during the wintertime frequently dip into the 10's. exciting things to see; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANDPOINT, NORTH is a glorious place to get some rest. Enjoy a round of golf at Mirror Lake Golf Course not far from Dawson Lake, and there's delightful hiking along the Sidehill
Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Kootenai, and don't leave Dawson Lake without first going for a hike along the Queen Mountain Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a
good time. If you get bored of Dawson Lake, you could also go to nearby Smith Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Fern Creek. If you come at the right time of year, Moyie River offers some good whitewater.
