Many people like to go to Danskin Lake. Best Western Foothills Motor Inn is a fine location to get some rest, and Danskin Peak is trouble-free to spot from Danskin Lake. A perfect nearby hotel is Sleep Inn Mountain Home, and Ballinger Flat is a glorious site to stretch your legs a bit. Danskin Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls during November, and the driest month of the year is July.
