It's always fun to stop by Dan Lake. The annual rainfall here at Dan Lake is about average; January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Dan Lake. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is abundant here in the Bitterroot Range. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Brushy Fork, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dan Lake; Granite Ridge Trail is a good local

This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. Why not camp at Colt Creek Campground if you're here at Dan Lake, and tremendous hiking is available along the Sally Ridge Trail. If you come at the right time of year, White Sand Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Hamilton is a great spot to spend a night or two.

The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Dan Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lee Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Lee Ridge Trail.
