    What a nice lake Cutthroat Lake is. This location, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There's so much to do here at Cutthroat Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Velvet Falls Campground is a pleasant place for that, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Prospect Creek Trail. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Brundage Mountain is a glorious local ski area; if the weather  
   is great, you can go for a hike along the Blue Bunch Trail.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Cutthroat Lake is close to the national average; during January this area sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Paddling on Salmon River - Middle Fork is so much fun, and going for a hike along the Bear Valley Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. You'll need more than a day to explore
 
               everything Cutthroat Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sheepeater Hot Springs Campground, and Marsh Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Cutthroat Lake. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Cutthroat Lake get into the 80's; the overnight is rather chillier of course, generally in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cutthroat Lake are in the 10's.
