    In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Cutthroat Lake is one of them. Cutthroat Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. There's whitewater on Marsh Creek for all you thrill seekers, and there are fine places to discover  
   along the Prospect Creek Trail.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Cutthroat Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Cutthroat Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Lakes? Sure, Iris Lake is close at hand, and going for a hike on the Blue Bunch Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               Hit the slopes at Brundage Mountain nearby; close by you stumble on the Bear Valley Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail.
There's so much to do here at Cutthroat Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Boy Scout Camp Campground is a great location for that; you can run the rapids of Salmon River - Middle Fork. Just can't get enough of Cutthroat Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cutthroat Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sheepeater Hot Springs Campground.
