This spot rocks, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the vicinity of Cutoff Lake. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Schweitzer. Cutoff Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Plowboy Campground is a magnificent local campground, and at Cutoff Lake you can see Lake Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Creek is a stream that you may bump into while you're here, and       there's whitewater on Boundary Creek for all you thrill seekers. During the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 80's at Cutoff Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Cutoff Lake all through the wintertime generally dip into the 10's. Going for a hike on the White Mountain Trail is always a wonderful adventure. There's so much to do here at                  Cutoff Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dirt Oven Campground is a brilliant place for that. Smith Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Smith Creek.
