The annual rain here at Cub Lake is about average; the month with most of the snow is January; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Lost Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover       everything Cub Lake has to offer, you can camp at Schumaker Campground. Through the warmest time of the year here at Cub Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Cub Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot Range. Cub Lake is a pleasant location to visit for more than                  one day, Bear Creek Pass Campground is a pleasant location to camp nearby; Best Western Hamilton Inn is a delightful location to get some rest.
