If you get bored of Crystle Lake, you could also stop at close by Castle Lake; do put some time aside to spend at Buck Spring while you're here at Crystle Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Driggs, and you can hit the slopes at Kelly Canyon in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Packsaddle Lake, and you can stay the night at Green Canyon Hot Springs. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Crystle Lake, and the overnight is slightly

| | colder of course, generally in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crystle Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Teton Mountain View Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Crystle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sandy Mite Fly Shop and Cafe. and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pine Creek. Be careful coming to Crystle Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. A spree to Blacktail Pass is always
fun; the sight of wonderful Chicken Peak is pleasant.
Around Crystle Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. Grand Targhee has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and Snake River - South Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby.

The four mile hike up to Lower Palisades Lake provide some of the best mountain views in the Swan Valley region. Palisades Creek Trail is well maintained and can be used only by hikers, backpackers or horses as it is in the Palisades wilderness study area. Lower Palisades Lake was formed when a giant landslide came down the canyon and dammed the creek. Palisades Canyon is thickly forested with fir, aspen and willow. It is a canon of steep magnificent cliffs. The Lower Palisades Lake is much smaller than the Upper Palisades Lake and because of its proximity receives most of the traffic.
