All the outdoors cool stuff in the Clearwater Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Paddling on Fish Creek is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Race Creek Campground. From a precipitation point of view Crystal Lake is a reasonably common place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. Crystal Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors       paradise. A lake close by is Lone Lakes. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Crystal Lake; East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail is a great local trail, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Lochsa River. Green Flat Campground is a nice campground here, and the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Lake is right by the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, and at Crystal                  Lake you can make out Stanley Butte. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the summer here at Crystal Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's.
