Why not stop by Crystal Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A great panorama of delightful Black Imp is available from Crystal Lake; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Little Salmon River, and after a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. Emerald Lake. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. While you're here at Crystal Lake you can take a hike along the Old Boise Trail, and Black Lake Campground is
a good campground nearby. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Crystal Lake has it all. Stay the night at Seven Devils Campground, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Deep Creek Trail. There is a good
hiking trail next to Crystal Lake called the Rapid River Trail; a great place to explore is Pactolian Gulch. It is very dehydrated here at Crystal Lake typically; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month is July. Crystal Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wallowa Mountains.
