Lakes are delightful; Pintail Reservoir is a lake that's near Crossroads Reservoir; Crossroads Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Shoshone RV Park is a good local campground. Not much rain falls here at Crossroads Reservoir; January is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Wilson River offers some delightful whitewater; whitewater paddling is
not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Snake River.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Mule Shoe Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Jerome/Twin Falls. The warmest time of the year at Crossroads Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Crossroads Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
