Do stop by Crater Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork, needless to say you could also go to Fish Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Mccall Super 8 Lodge. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 70's at Crater Lake while night lows

| | are mostly in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crater Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Crater Lake called the Indian Creek Trail, and camping is available at Golden Gate Campground. A typical amount of rain falls here at Crater Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most while July is typically the driest | |

month. The sight of gorgeous Crater Peak near Crater Lake is brilliant, and why not head up to Brundage Mountain and strap some skis to your feet.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too delightful to
be true. Get wet paddling on Johnson Creek; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Parks Peak Trail. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Take a little visit to Ellison Creek since you're here at Crater
Lake, and Profile Gap is certainly a magnificent site to explore.
All the outdoors amusing stuff close to Crater Lake will keep you coming back many times. A fine place to camp here at Crater Lake is Yellow Pine Campground; the Big Chief Creek Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
