Why not stop by Crater Lake if you're passing through these parts. Crater Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains. You definitely have to fancy the Salmon River Mountains. Have a good hiking adventure along the Big Chief Creek Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork.
