Crater Lake is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains. At Crater Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Crater Lake plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Marble Creek Campground since       you're here at Crater Lake, and paddling on St. Joe River - Marble Creek is so much fun. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Camping is available at Little North Fork Campground. Here at Crater Lake you can see Crater Peak, and the Ally Point Trail offers hiking at its best. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is abundant here in the Clearwater Mountains. Crater Lake is right by the Slate-Dunn Peak Trail;                  get drenched paddling on Floodwood Creek. Crater Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July is the month with the least moisture. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. It's always good to visit Hemlock Spring; hiking is a popular thing to do around Crater Lake; Freezeout Trail is a fine local trail.
