It is very dried up here at Crater Lake usually; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do near Crater Lake. Going for a hike on the Waterfall Trail is always a perfect adventure; the peaks of the Bighorn Crags dominate the scenery of this neighborhood.       Lakes? Sure, Pothole Lake is nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Clear Creek Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Crater Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Crater Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more enjoyable stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. There are some glorious                  whitewater spots on Panther Creek; you acquire a nice panorama of Bighorn Crags from here. Crater Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. There are fine sites to look at along the Ship Island Trail. There are other places here than Crater Lake, for example Gooseneck Lake, and if you came to camp Yellowjacket Campground is a good spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
