Crater Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Seven Devils Lake; everybody loves McCalla Basin. Crater Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Papoose Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and unsurprisingly, this is a tremendous vicinity for people who like lakes, Papoose Lake is a lake       in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Snake River; nearby you locate the Deep Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Crater Lake is usually a rather dried out site; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If only every site had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be. If you would like a little side journey, try Fire Camp Saddle, and if you                  need a place to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a pleasant choice. Just can't get enough of the Wallowa Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Little Salmon River offers some nice whitewater, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Old Boise Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitetail Club and Resort is a splendid place to get some rest. And that's not all the things to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. Stay the night at Windy Saddle Campground, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Heavens Gate Trail. Throughout the days of summer at Crater Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's.
