    Why not stop by Crater Lake if you're passing through these parts. You can run the rapids of Salmon River - Yankee Fork next to Crater Lake, and Sun Valley has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline kick people, and nearby you stumble on the Yellow Belly Trail which is a good hiking trail. Be careful coming to Crater Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. What would a location like Crater  
   Lake be without exciting close by characteristics like Chinese Wall, and The Gunsight is in the neighborhood, and is a wonderful location.
If you came for an overnight stay Holman Creek Campground is a great place to camp, and a short visit to Slate Creek Hot Spring is always worthwhile. Hoodoo Mine Number One Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here; since you're here, you could also stop by charming Big Boulder Lakes. Summertime brings highs in
 
               the 70's to Crater Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Crater Lake drop into the-10's.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors SnowRun by ResortQuest is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Around Crater Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically December, that's the one that snows the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Marshall Creek Campground is a great campground here, and why not stop by close by Bighorn Creek while you're here at Crater Lake.
