    What a nice lake Cow Lake is. On a tremendous day at Cow Lake you can take a hike along the Miners Peak Trail, and Secesh River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Near Cow Lake you discover the South Fork Buckhorn Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; you can stay the night at Krassel Creek Campground. The warmest time of the year at Cow Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down  
   to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Cow Lake.
Cow Lake is pretty dried up regularly; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Cow Lake. If you're here at Cow Lake, you could stop at Step Creek, and Brundage Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. That right there is loads
 
               of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Cow Lake called the Kennally Creek Trail; Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a wonderful place to get some rest.
This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Western Mountain Lodge. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Salmon Point Campground. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. Paddling on Salmon River - South Fork is so much fun.
