     Cove Lakes is a nice lake to visit. You just must like the Clearwater Mountains. Don't leave Cove Lakes without first going for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Cove Lakes gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is usually the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. There are tremendous spots to discover along the East
 
   Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and Cove Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Race Creek Campground is a great local campground. Go for a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. Lakes are pleasant; Florence Lake is a lake that's close to Cove Lakes. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Clearwater Mountains. Cove Lakes is near Jesse Pass which is certainly worth visiting; you're most  
               likely addicted to lakes, Rainbow Lake is one of those close by.
Lochsa River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by, and the summit of Gedney Mountain can be distinguished from Cove Lakes. This site rules, just check out all the fun things to do close to Cove Lakes. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lochsa River, and a good spot to camp here at Cove Lakes is Race Track Campground. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Cove Lakes reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Cove Lakes.

Red River Campground is in a fairly open flat area with a? creek suitable for bathing running through it. Also fire pits, outhouses and sites spaced far apart for adequate privacy. Some sites have a tree or two nearby for shade....
