Summertime highs at Cove Lakes typically tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Cove Lakes dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Clearwater Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail,       and since you're here why not explore Jesse Pass. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cove Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Race Track Campground; from Cove Lakes you acquire a pleasant view of Gedney Mountain. Cove Lakes is a good site of common rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. There's wonderful hiking along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop                  National Recreation Trail; paddling on Lochsa River is so much fun. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. Cove Lakes is a good place to visit for more than one day, Race Creek Campground is a good place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and get dripping wet paddling on Lochsa River.
