Here at Cottle Lake you can catch a glimpse of Salmon Butte, and Cottle Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Riverhaven RV Park is a great local campground. Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop by Johnston Lakes right next door to Cottle Lake, and a good spot to camp here at Cottle Lake is Givens Hot Springs. Cottle Lake gets very little rainfall; all through the month of November you get the most rain       around here; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Dryden Reservoir near Cottle Lake is a tremendous spot to have a look at; don't leave Cottle Lake without first paying a visit to Boghole Spring. During the long summer days at Cottle Lake highs are commonly in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 40's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cottle Lake are in the                  10's. Good hiking is available along the Big I Grade; after a long day outdoors Best Western Caldwell Inn & Suites is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll love Cottle Lake.
