You could also stop at Big Sand Lake if you're here at Corky Lake; it's nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Colt Creek Campground is a brilliant site to camp. From a rain point of view Corky Lake is a pretty common place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is mostly the driest month.
