This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Lost Trail in close proximity, and while you're here you can take a hike along the North Route Of Old Nez Perce Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Coquina Lake has to offer. Why not pop by Fish Lake Dam if you're here; camping is available at Schumaker Campground. Lake you can take a hike along the Ward Mountain Trail. At Coquina Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; winter
nights come with lows in the 10's to Coquina Lake. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Bitterroot Range. A trip to Bear Creek Pass is always fun, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sand Creek.

 | 17 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore.
