Not much rain falls here at Cooks Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. All the outdoors fun things in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. You get a fine vista of Cottontail Point from Cooks Lake; paddling on Secesh River is so much fun. If you're       here at Cooks Lake, you could have a look at Smithy Creek, and you can go for a hike on the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
