Lakes are nice; Surprise Lake is a lake that's close to Confusion Lake, and the summit of Plummer Peak can be distinguished from Confusion Lake. Having a glorious time at Confusion Lake is painless. Alturas Inlet Campground is a great local campground, and going for a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Take       a side spree to Timpa Creek, and hiking along the Yuba River Trail is great fun. Throughout the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Confusion Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Confusion Lake. Take a hike on the Bull Moose Trail; skiing at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is one of those things you just must do.                  Confusion Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Powerplant Campground since you're here at Confusion Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. From a rain point of view Confusion Lake is a quite typical site; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. Having a great time in the Sawtooth Range is uncomplicated.
